Guided Lubbock Texas Waterfowl Hunting: Duck & Goose Hunting in Lubbock Texas with Midwest Waterfowl Outfitters.

Midwest Waterfowl Outfitters is proud to announce it will be partnering with Banded Gand’r Outfitters to offer hunts in West Texas starting fall 2009. Myself and Kyle first met while working together at a large outfitter in West Texas in 2001, at that time we both split off and worked for other outfitters in the Knox County and Lubbock areas. Since we both work together offering Spring Snow Goose Hunts in Missouri and South Dakota we figured why not extend our season once again in Texas chasing Canada Geese in the peanut fields of West Tex.

Locations

We are not going to be your typical outfitter only hunting one location. Our experience chasing snow geese in the spring has shown that moving to the best locations is one of our key aspects to our success. We will be offering hunts in areas like Knox City, Lubbock, and Amarillo. While we may base in these locations, we may move around within those areas to the best opportunities. Typically the first month of our season will be in the area surrounding Knox City, from there starting after the first of the year we will relocate to areas offering better hunting opportunities and less pressured geese.

Our Difference

Our difference is we will be running only ONE field per day, your guide will be either myself or Kyle….both of us have 15+ years guiding experience, no young inexperienced guides here. We will be running large spreads of both Deadly Decoys and Real Geese Silos; our average spread will be in the 60-80 dozen decoy range. These are layout hunts, so we will be using both Ghillie Blankets with chairs and also Final Approach blinds depending on the field and cover.

Pricing

We have still yet to hammer out exact rates, but we have decided a AM goose hunt will be between $175-200/hunter depending on location. We will also offer PM crane hunts for $75/hunter. Our prices are lower then others for the sole reason we don’t spend thousands on advertising and traveling to shows….all of our bookings will be from our personal client lists and web advertising. So we won’t be passing on any advertising expense to our customers. We also have low overhead since we are both owner/operators and will minimize the need for outside employees, and are able to utilize our existing equipment and insurance from our other fall and spring services.
